Dear Edward Review
By: Ann Napolitano
This was the first book I read this year and I have to say I had a love/hate relationshiop with it. I am NOT a fast reader in the slightest. Plus it isn’t always easy for me to find large chunks of time in my day (because well… kids) to sit and read, but I typically can read at least two books per month. It pretty much took me most of January to get through this one.
I liked the story, its about a young boy who is the sole survivor of and airplane crash and how he continues on with his life after losing his parents and brother, as well as trying to help others who lost their loved ones in the crash. However, I just felt like it took so long to get to the “meat” of the story. It wasn’t a book that I just had to keep reading.
I really liked the way the book ends and the relationships that were developed throughout this book. There is definitely a good message to hear, so I do recommend it to be read.
